Locking/Unlocking a Budget in Operational Budgets 2.0

Once a budget has been finalized and approved by all in the process you can lock the budget to allow no other changes.


Getting Started

  1. Navigate to Operational Budgets 2.0
  2. Open the budget you’d like to lock


Permissions

  • To lock a budget, a user must have the Lock/Unlock Budget permission for their role. (review the permissions article for more detail)
  • If a user does not have this permission they will not see the dropdown.


Locking the Budget

  1. Locate the lock/unlock dropdown at the very top right of the budget.
  2. Select the dropdown and choose Lock
    • This locks the budget and any user with edit permissions will not be able to make changes.
    • Only users with lock/unlock permissions can change this.
  3. To unlock the budget change the selection to Unlock
