How to clear Segmentation Variances from the HotelKey Import

With the recent transition of IHG Hotels to the HotelKey PMS System, some users have experienced errors in the segmentation data that is imported into Daily Activity. 


The issue is outlined below:


The Segmentation reports that are imported are including Pet Fees with the room revenue numbers, so each time a hotel has pet fees, its causing a variance within the Segmentation section. 

 

For example, if the rate is $100 for the AAA rate, and there is also a charge of $10 for a pet fee, the data for segmentation is importing as $110 instead of the true room rate of $100. This is causing a variance. 


To resolve this variance:

 

We suggest adding a Pet Fee line within Rate Code Mapping. Then, when the variance arises, enter a negative value here to balance the day.


Inn-Flow is working with HotelKey to update how Pet Fees are handled during the HotelKey setup.
