Managing New User Creation with the Netchex Integration
Overview
This article provides guidance on how to create new users within Inn-Flow when your account is integrated with Netchex. Properly managing new users ensures that payroll-related employees are correctly synced while allowing non-payroll employees and contractors to be managed separately.

- How to add non-payroll employees and contractors to payroll-managed entities.
*Please note that if you are not using the Netchex integration, you should create users through the standard process.
Creating a New User
When adding a new user in Inn-Flow, follow these steps to ensure proper integration with Netchex:
- Access the Add User Modal:
- Navigate to the User Management section under Administration.
- Click on "Add User" to open the user creation modal.
- Specify Employee Type:
- In the Employee Type field, select one of the following options:
- Contractor
- Exclude from Payroll
- Hourly Wage
- Salary Exempt from OT
- Salary Non Exempt from OT
Entity (Hotel) Selection Based on Employee Type:
- Contractor or Exclude from Payroll:
- All entities, including those managed by the payroll integration, will be enabled for selection.
- This allows non-payroll users to be assigned to any hotel without restrictions.
- Hourly Wage, Salary Exempt from OT, or Salary Non Exempt from OT:
- Entities managed by the payroll integration will be disabled to prevent conflicts.
- Only non-payroll-managed entities can be selected.
Toggling Employee Type:
- If you assign permissions to a hotel and then change the Employee Type:
- Switching from Contractor/Exclude from Payroll to Hourly Wage, Salary Exempt from OT, or Salary Non Exempt from OT will disable payroll-managed entities.
- However, any previously checked boxes will remain selected, even if the entities are now disabled.
- You can change this at any time after user creation.
Best Practices:
- Confirm Employee Type: Ensure you select the correct employee type during user creation.
- Review Entity Permissions: Double-check assigned entities, especially when toggling employee types.
- Coordinate with Payroll Admins: When adding payroll-managed employees, consult with your payroll administrators if needed.
