What It Is 

Locations are a digital map of maintainable spaces (guest rooms, common areas). 


Why It Matters 

  • Locations are the foundation of the module: every Work Order or Preventative Maintenance needs a location.
  • Reports are organized by location 
  • Assets must belong to a location 


Two Ways to Manage 

  • Entity Settings → Locations Tab (best for initial setup & bulk edits) 


  • Facilities > Locations (day-to-day use)

Features 

  • Guest rooms auto-created from room counts if already available 
  • Common areas must be added manually 
  • Detail view shows: 
  • Work orders (open/completed) 
  • Associated PM schedules 
  • Linked assets 
  • History log 


Best Practices 

  • Use Entity Settings for initial setup 
  • Use template for bulk edits
  • Name consistently (Room 101, Pool, Fitness Center) 
  • Add subtypes for reporting (King Room, Lobby, Outdoor Pool)
