Transaction Total

Modified on Mon, 6 Jun, 2022 at 12:53 PM

A Transaction Total amount is required when entering invoices, deposits or withdrawals to ensure the correct amount is allocated to the chart of account section.

After selecting the correct Vendor name and Payment type, enter the total about of the invoice, deposit or withdrawal.

Enter the Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Due Date and Accounting Period. Add Notes if needed.

The next step is to code what the transaction is for by selecting the COA and amount per COA. You'll see a Total, where it sums the amounts entered above compared to the transaction total.

As amounts are entered per chart of account, you'll see a calculated amount left to be coded.

Once the total amount has been coded accordingly, you can save the entry.

If you receive an error that the Invoice Total does not equal the split amounts, a variance still exists and needs to be corrected.
