Bookkeeping Services: Flagged Transaction Overview Alert

The Flagged Transactions alert appears at the top of the Accounting Overview page and shows a real-time count of transactions that need attention. Use it to jump straight to flagged items so nothing is overlooked. A flagged transaction is an entry someone has marked as needing additional review or information.

Before you start, confirm the following:

  • The property has an active Bookkeeping Services subscription.

  • You have the right permissions. Can Review lets you see flagged transactions that need review; Can Flag/Complete also lets you see transactions already reviewed. See the article: How to Apply Bookkeeping Flagging Permissions for details.

View the Alert

1. In the left navigation, open Accounting, then select Overview. The Flagged Transactions alert appears at the top with a pip showing the number of flagged transactions.

2. Users with Can Review see only Needs Review transactions. Users with both Can Flag/Complete and Can Review see both Needs Review and Reviewed transactions.

Open a Flagged Transaction from the Alert

1. Click the Flagged Transactions alert pip to open a detailed list of hotels with flagged transactions.

2. Review the list – hotels appear in alphabetical order with a count of flagged transactions for each.

3. Click a hotel to open the Communications Inbox, where you can review and resolve its flagged transactions.

The Communications Inbox is the central page where all flagged transactions are monitored, reviewed, and resolved. Flagged statuses persist across the workflow, so each item is tracked through its full lifecycle.

Alert Preferences

To view alert settings, click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner and select Alert Preferences, then scroll to the Accounting section. The Flagged Transactions alert is enabled by default for every user who meets the permission requirements and cannot be disabled, so important flagged items stay visible.
