No. Uncleared checks and payments are not mapped to a separate holding or clearing account on the Balance Sheet. In Inn-Flow, uncleared checks and payments remain coded to the Chart of Accounts (COA) used on each individual transaction.
How Inn-Flow Handles Uncleared Transactions
In some accounting systems, transactions that are "paid but not yet cleared" are held in a clearing or holding account until they clear the bank. Inn-Flow works differently – the expense is recorded to the correct COA immediately when the transaction is marked as paid, even if it has not yet cleared the bank.
This means the Balance Sheet reflects the full impact of paid transactions right away, regardless of bank clearing status.
Where to View Uncleared Transactions
To see which checks and payments have not yet cleared, use the Bank Reconciliation page. Navigate to Accounting > Register > Reconciliation and review the list of outstanding items. You can also run the Check Register Report under Accounting > Reports to see payment status details.
IF PRO TIP: If your bank feed shows a different balance than expected, check the Bank Reconciliation for uncleared items. The difference between the GL balance and bank balance is typically the total of uncleared checks and payments.
