The bank account used for payroll import is configured in the Administration area under your hotel's entity settings. This controls which bank account payroll transactions post to when you import payroll through Accounting > Payroll Import. If the wrong bank account is selected, payroll entries will land in the wrong register and will not reconcile properly against your bank statement.
How to Change the Payroll Bank Account
Click Administration on the bottom left of the navigation.
Select Entities.
Click on the hotel that needs to be updated.
Select the Subscriptions tab.
Within the Accounting subscription, locate the payroll bank account dropdowns. You will see options for both COA-Wise and Check-Wise import accounts. It's a best practice to have both the COA-Wise and Check-Wise to import into the same bank account for consistency purposes.
Select the correct bank account for each dropdown.
Click Save on the bottom right of the page.
What If I Already Imported Payroll to the Wrong Account?
If you have already imported payroll entries to the wrong bank account, you will need to delete those imports and re-import them after updating the account setting.
Navigate to Accounting > Payroll Import.
Find the payroll import that was posted to the wrong account.
Click the triple-dot menu (three dots) on the import entry and select Delete.
You can only delete payroll imports that have NOT been reconciled. If even one check in the import has been reconciled, you must unreconcile it first before deleting.
After deleting, return to the Entities page, update the bank account as described above, and re-import the payroll.
