How do I reprint a check?

If a check was lost, damaged, or printed incorrectly, you can reprint it, download a copy, or void and re-issue it from the bank account register. The option you choose depends on the situation.

Reprint vs. Void and Re-Issue

  • Reprint – Use when the check was lost or destroyed but the original check number and date are still valid (e.g., the check was never cashed and you just need a new physical copy on the same check number).

  • Download – Use when you need to send proof of payment to a vendor (provides a PDF copy of the check without reprinting on check stock).

  • Void – Use when you need to re-issue the check with a new check number and/or date. Voiding reverses the original entry so you can cut a new check.

Steps to Reprint a Check

  1. Go to the Register tab and select the bank account the check was written from.

  2. Use the Filter Transactions box on the top left to locate the check.

  3. Click on the transaction to open the check detail.

  4. Click the triple dot menu on the top right of the check detail.

  5. Select the appropriate option: Download, Reprint, or Void.

The Reprint option only appears if the user has the Make Check & ePay Payments Special Permission granted. Additionally, the entry must be un-reconciled.
