Inn-Flow lets you print a sample check or a voided check directly from the bank account settings on the Register page. Both are generated from the same location but serve different purposes.
A sample check is a non-negotiable check pre-printed with your bank account and routing information. Vendors and merchant processors commonly request one to verify payment details before setting up ACH or direct deposit.
A voided check is a sample check with "VOID" printed across the face. Banks, payroll providers, and vendors may request a voided check to confirm account ownership without the check being cashable.
Print a Sample Check
Navigate to Accounting > Register.
Select the hotel, then bank account you need the sample check for from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
Click the triple-dot menu (upper-right corner of the Register page) and select Edit Account.
On the Bank Account Settings tab, click the Print Sample Check button.
The sample check opens as a printable preview. Print it using your browser's print dialog (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P).
Note: The sample check pulls account and routing numbers from the bank account configuration in Inn-Flow. Verify these details are correct in Bank Account Settings before printing.
Print a Voided Check
Follow the same steps above to navigate to Bank Account Settings and click Print Sample Check.
On the printed sample check, write "VOID" in large letters across the face of the check before providing it to the requesting party.
Inn-Flow does not print a separate voided check – the sample check and voided check use the same output. The only difference is that you manually write "VOID" on the check after printing.
