What Does the Checkbook Show?

The Checkbook shows your spend organized by GL Code (the general ledger account each purchase is booked to). For each GL Code it displays the spend to date, accrued expenses, the remaining budget, and every purchase tied to that code.

What You See per GL Code

  • Spend by GL Code – total ordered against each account.

  • Accrued expenses – costs that have been incurred but not yet paid or invoiced.

  • Remaining budget – how much of the GL Code's budget is still available.

  • Associated purchases – the individual orders that make up the spend on each GL Code.

Because it ties actual purchases to budgets in one place, the Checkbook is the quickest way to see whether a GL Code is on track before month-end.
