The Payroll Export card on Labor Overview shows how many prior payrolls have not yet been exported. You should only ever have 1 payroll waiting to be exported – the pay cycle that just ended. If more appear, export them to clear them from your Labor Overview. Outstanding payrolls prevent PTO from being awarded automatically.
Open the Payroll page
To reach the payroll page, click the Payroll Export button at the top of Labor Overview, or select Payroll from the left menu. The Payroll page is the final step of the payroll process.
Review employee details
The top of the page shows the pay period along with total hours and overtime hours.
For each employee, the page shows their name, whether they are Salaried or Hourly, their employee code, number of rooms cleaned, and hours worked. Employees who work multiple positions show each position and its hours.
IF PRO TIP: The Payroll Export value should never be greater than 1 – the previous cycle that just ended. Not exporting payrolls can be a red flag and affects PTO calculations. Make sure every pay cycle except the current one has been exported. |
Add extra pay or tips
Click the Payroll Export box to open the Payroll page. To add additional pay, click the employee's name and enter any additional wages.
At the bottom of the page you can add tips that were not already entered on the Tip Entry page.
Click Save once all updates are made.
Export payroll
Select Export Payroll at the top right of the page. Once selected, payroll is finalized and the file is emailed to the users set up to receive it.
