Why Am I Getting the Message That Payroll for This Period Has Already Been Exported?

When you try to edit items in Labor Management for a pay period, you may see a pop-up that reads: "Payroll for this period has already been exported. Continuing will require payroll to be re-exported to prevent any disruptions. Would you like to continue?"

This message means that a user – often a member of your corporate team or a manager – has already exported the payroll file from the Payroll page.

You can still make edits. If you do, communicate the change with the team that exported the first file and with your payroll processing team.

Note: Clicking Yes and proceeding marks the payroll as "Un-exported" on the Payroll page under Labor Management. The payroll will then need to be re-exported once your changes are complete, and should be considered final only after that.

If you are an Inn-Flow Payroll subscriber, an un-exported payroll will not import into the Inn-Flow Accounting module. If you notice a payroll import is missing from the Payroll Import page under Accounting, open the Payroll page under Labor Management to confirm the payroll is complete.
