A holiday probationary period sets how long a new employee must be employed before they are eligible for holiday pay, based on their hire date. You configure it in the Holiday Probationary Settings within User Management.
Most companies either pay holiday rates to all employees, to none, or only after an initial hire period. For example, if employees do not qualify for holiday pay until after 90 days, enter 90 in this field. If an employee works a holiday before meeting the probationary period, those hours are recorded as regular hours. If all employees qualify for holiday pay, leave the field at 0.
Holidays can be set within the Labor Management module's Holidays tab.
