Whether salaried employees are included in Total Hours on the Schedule and Performance tabs is controlled by an Enterprise-Wide Labor Setting. Turn this setting on if one or more of the following apply:
Your salaried associates clock in and out.
You budget for salaried associates.
Note: When this setting is active and a salaried shift is over budget, an explanation will be required. |
What if My General Manager Works a Front Desk or Other Actual Shift?
A manager may be put on the schedule to cover a shift – for example, a Front Desk shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM – but not actually punch in and out because they continue other work after the shift ends. In this case, you can add the General Manager to the schedule without requiring them to punch in and out. When this is the scenario, leave the setting turned off.
