Setting up a web time clock is a two-step process. First, update a browser setting on the dedicated computer so its cookies are not automatically deleted. Then register that computer as a web time clock in Labor Management settings.
Step 1: Update the Browser Cookie Setting
On the computer that will be used as a time clock, update a Google Chrome setting so browser cookies are not automatically deleted. A short video walkthrough is available here: https://www.youtube.com/embed/yJLwhqAUQ98
Step 2: Register the Web Time Clock
For example, if you or your property currently clocks in using a desktop computer, follow these steps:
From the computer dedicated to clocking in and out, go to www.Inn-Flow.net.
Enter your username and password.
In Labor Management, open the Settings tab (the gear icon at the bottom left), then select Time Clock.
4. On the right side of the page, select the + Web Time Clock button.
5. In the Description field, enter a description for the computer, such as Back Office Computer or Time Clock Computer.
6. Set the expiration date as far out as allowed. Inn-Flow will remove this validation before the expiration date.
7. Once complete, an internal cookie is added to the computer that treats it as a time clock.
Employee Email and Phone Requirements
Once the web time clock is set up, employees will need a unique email address and/or phone number. If a user does not have an email address, either create one through Gmail or Yahoo, or enter a placeholder such as [email protected].
Make sure the email address and/or phone number are correct. If a user ever needs to reset their password, they will be prompted to do so through the default communication method selected. |
Note: For Microsoft Edge Users, Step 1 will look a bit different.
1. Click "..." in the upper right-hand corner of the Edge browser.
2. Click "Settings."
3. Click "Choose what to clear" under "Clear browsing data."
4. Ensure that "Always clear this when I close the browser" is turned off.
