You can add time off from either the Schedule or the Timesheets tab. Select the Add Time Off Shift button in the top right.
In the pop-up, select a user and then choose the Type of time off. Depending on your configured PTO types, you may see options such as PTO, Vacation, or Sick. There is always a Do Not Schedule option, which does not draw down any PTO bank – it simply flags that the user cannot work that day. For example, if a Front Desk Agent has a doctor's appointment, you can add a Do Not Schedule shift in place of that day.
Once the details are added, you can add additional days or times, or select Add Time Off to add it to the schedule.
The schedule will then display the time off shift.
Unpaid Time Off (UTO)
Unpaid Time Off (UTO) reduces a salaried employee's regular hours or pay when they did not or could not work the required hours and have no PTO hours available. In the Schedule or Timesheets tab, select the Add Time Off button in the top right.
Enter the employee's name, then select UTO from the Type drop-down.
Enter a reason and the dates and times needed for the UTO, then select Add Entry to save the changes.
UTO can only be added for salaried employees.
UTO cannot be added if a user is punched in but not punched out for the day.
UTO can be added once actual time (punch in and punch out) is complete for the day. For salaried employees, PTO plus UTO cannot exceed 8 hours in a day.
