Google Authenticator as a Two-Factor Authentication Method

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a second identity check, in addition to your password, required for high-security pages such as Special Permissions and processing payments. Instead of receiving a code only by text message, you can now use Google Authenticator as your verification method.

Google Authenticator is a mobile security app based on two-factor authentication that verifies your identity before granting access to a website or service.

Note: Only users with Special Permissions – such as making payments – will have this option.

Change your preferred 2FA method

1. Download the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.

2. In Inn-Flow, once logged in, open your profile from the bottom left of the page and select My Profile.

3. Turn On the option for Google to display a QR code that can be scanned.

4. Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device and scan the QR code shown. Follow the prompts – you will need to enter a six-digit code from the app into Inn-Flow to complete setup.

5. You can keep both Text Message and Google turned on, but you must select which one is your Primary Method for receiving codes.

6. If both methods are active, you can choose which one to receive a code on each time, but your Primary Method is selected by default.

IF PRO TIP: If you have trouble receiving text messages, or if you will be traveling outside of the US, use the Google Authenticator option.
