How Do I Use the STR Library?

Inn-Flow can import and consolidate your STR (Smith Travel Research) benchmarking data. Activate the feature by entering each hotel's Chain ID, then set up email forwarding so your STR reports are sent to Inn-Flow automatically. Once reports arrive, you'll find them under Accounting, then Library, then STR.

Activate the Feature

  1. Navigate to Administration (the gear icon at the bottom of your left navigation bar), then Entities. Select the hotel you want to see STR data for.

  2. In the Hotel slideout, on the General tab, enter the Chain ID. Your Chain ID is shown on your STR Reports within each tab.

Set Up Email Forwarding

Is there a contact at your company who receives all of the STR Reports for your properties? If so, the best option is to set up an email rule in their inbox to automatically forward those files to your Inn-Flow STR Library address: [email protected].

Find Your STR Reports

Once setup is complete and STR reports are being sent to the correct address, you'll find your STR Reports under Accounting, then Library, then STR.

A separate report is available under Accounting, then Reports, then STR Reporting. You can run the STR Report for one or multiple hotels by Day, Week, or Month.

To run the Daily Flash and include Comp Set information, select the box shown when producing the Daily Flash report.

IF PRO TIP: The STR Chain ID and the STR Code are not the same. Check the top of the Glance tab of your STR report to find the Chain ID. Add the Chain ID only to hotel accounts – never to the Enterprise Account, or the import will not work for the entire organization.

IF PRO TIP: Do not set reports to be emailed directly from STR or your franchise, or the import will not work – the file must be manually or auto-forwarded from a manager's or owner's email account. We recommend forwarding only after your Go Live date with Inn-Flow. When forwarding a set of reports to [email protected], all properties must already exist in Inn-Flow, or none of the applicable reports will import.
